Title: Solutions ArchitectJob ID: KB950584210Our client is a specialist in providing financial services to alternative investment funds, investors, multinationals and private clients worldwide. The Solutions Architecture and Engineering department is looking for a Solutions Architect with Cloud and Containerization skills to help establish guidelines/standards and technical architectures for the enterprise. The ideal candidate should have strong cloud experience in Google Cloud Platform, AWS or Azure with knowledge of open source Kubernetes and Docker architectures, Cloud agnostic tools (Terraform, Jenkins, etc.), and be familiar with virtualization technologies. They would work well with a team and show initiative with regards to providing creative solutions to technical and practical challenges.This position reports to the Solutions Architecture Manager. The Architecture team plays a vital role in the development of infrastructure and technology standards, along with Research and Development activities. The work will span both on-prem and cloud environments. Responsibilities - what will you be doing:

• You will design topology and developing technology for medium to large-scale, distributed systems on Public Cloud - using programming languages like Python, JavaScript and Java.
• Define standards and guidelines for Cloud services (reference topologies, configurations, deployment, identity and authorization policies, and CI/CD scripting) by researching best practices. Build prototypes to validate best practices and configurations.
• Define a standard process to review and baseline new Cloud services
• Proactive research of new features on existing services and new services to provide more efficient, secure and cost effective architecture solutions.
• Socialize cloud services as part of standardization exercise. Conduct deep-dive "hands-on" education/training sessions to transfer knowledge to internal teams.
• Evaluate and define technology standards selection and definition processes
• Document technical design patterns for enterprise reuse
• Contribute to the delivery of Solution Designs diagram and documentation aligned to the business requirements
• Review Solution Designs to ensure enterprise compliance of the delivered design
• Participate in organization architecture process optimization
• Ensure enterprise compliance of the delivered design

Qualifications:

• You have 4+ years of working experience in Technical Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Application Architecture, Containerization and Virtualization.
• Proficiency in Linux Shell, Windows PowerShell or Python scripting
• Cloud certifications in Google Cloud, AWS or Azure
• Automation: DevOps, CI/CD experience and proficiency, scripting
• Networking knowledge
• Experience with Graph QL, API development, Service Mesh, Microservices, Kubernetes are a plus
• DevOps Experience is a plus
• Excellent documentation and communication skills are required
