Job Summary:

They will support the Summer Day Camp Recreation Lead will report to the Summer Day Camp Program Coordinator

delivering a dynamic and safe summer camp experience. This role is pivotal in facilitating outdoor adventure programming, overseeing daily activities, and ensuring that all operations align with health and safety standards. The lead will help create an environment where campers can enjoy adventurous activities, build friendships, and develop new skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • planning, organising, and executing daily camp activities by program plans.
  • Aid in supervising campers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Coordinate with the Summer Camp staff for seamless program delivery.
  • Serve as a positive role model for campers, promoting the mission, vision, and values of iHealthox.
  • Prepare materials and equipment for activities, ensuring all resources are ready and available as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Activity Coordinator.

Competencies Required:

    • 2 to 3 years of summer camp program experience working with children, preferably those with special needs.
    • Standard First Aid with CPR Certification.
      • Energetic, enthusiastic, and committed to fostering a positive camp environment.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
      • Experience in leading outdoor activities and working in a camp environment.
      • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities.
      • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Training

Working Conditions:

    • Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening Mandatory training requirement.
    • Fixed-term role from June 15 to August 30, 2024.
    • Physical tasks involve moderate lifting, pushing, and pulling.
    • The role requires on-site presence, with an 8-hour daily commitment.
    • Some exposure to environmental conditions (rain, heat, and cold).
    • Moderate travel is required to deliver and execute programs.
