As the brand continues to go from strength to strength, we're seeking a talented Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team and drive our digital marketing efforts to new heights.

Job Description: The digital marketing specialist will play a key role in driving Shambhala Music Festival's continued success as Canada's premiere electronic music and arts festival. With the festival having been voted North America's Best Festival for two years in a row, the specialist will optimize online visibility, analyze data to gain insights and manage advertising campaigns across various platforms to propel the festival's digital marketing efforts to even greater heights.

This full-time position will work at our head office in beautiful Nelson, BC. This is a hybrid/remote opportunity, with the flexibility to work remotely two days per week. The successful candidate will also be required to work on location at the festival site near Salmo, BC for 1 month each summer.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • SEO Strategy
    • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and increase website traffic.
    • Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and on-page optimization to enhance website visibility.
    • Implement technical SEO improvements, including site structure enhancements, schema markup, and XML sitemap management.
    • Stay updated on the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to ensure continuous optimization.
  • Analytics and Reporting
    • Utilise analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and others to track and analyze website performance metrics.
    • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), including website traffic, conversion rates, and user engagement.
    • Identify areas for improvement based on data insights and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement optimization strategies.
    • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of SEO campaigns and initiatives, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Online Advertising
    • Plan, create, and manage online advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
    • Conduct audience targeting and segmentation to maximize campaign reach and ROI.
    • Optimise ad creative, ad copy, and landing pages to improve campaign performance and conversion rates.
    • Monitor advertising budgets, analyze campaign metrics, and adjust strategies to optimize return on investment.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with content creators, web developers, and other team members to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into content creation and website development processes.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide insights, recommendations, and progress updates on SEO, analytics, and advertising initiatives.
    • Stay aligned with marketing objectives and contribute ideas for innovative digital marketing strategies to achieve business goals.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an SEO, Analytics, or Ads Specialist, with a strong track record of successful digital marketing campaigns.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO principles, techniques, and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz).
  • Proficiency in analyzing website performance metrics and interpreting data insights to drive optimization strategies.
  • Experience managing online advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Certifications in Google Analytics, Google Ads, or other relevant digital marketing platforms are a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
