Be the Maestro of Our Thriving HQ Office

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy conducting the symphony of daily operations?

We're looking for an enthusiastic and organized Office Coordinator to join our dynamic team at SMF. What you'll do:

  • Be the friendly face of SMF, welcoming visitors and directing them to the right people.
  • Ensure smooth communication by managing mail, deliveries, and phone inquiries (including the Savoy Hotel).
  • Maintain an organized and efficient workspace by managing supplies, coordinating cleaning services, and keeping the office spick and span (plant care included!).
  • Support staff and management with a variety of administrative tasks, from onboarding new employees to assisting with special events.
  • Be a team player, jumping in to lend a hand at the Savoy Hotel, Bloom Nightclub, and Billy's Auto when needed.

You're a great fit if you have:

  • At least one year of office administration experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Workspace, with a knack for learning new software.
  • A keen eye for detail and a drive for accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a passion for fostering a welcoming and inclusive workplace.

Bonus points for:

  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • A valid passport (for occasional travel).

The Contract:

  • May-September.
  • Full time position: 32-40hrs/week.
  • Note that this position is based at the Nelson BC headquarters office on Baker St., and will likely not involve any work or attendance at the Festival Site in Salmo, BC.

At Shambhala, we're not just about the music; we're about creating an incredible experience for our team too. Here's what you can look forward to when you join us in a contract position:

  • Team Yoga Classes: Dive into wellness with complimentary yoga sessions for our HQ team in the off-season. Let's embark on a journey together toward enhanced well-being and mindfulness!
