As a Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Co-op, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives within a dynamic technology and project environment.

Working with our team during the Winter 2027 Co-op Term, you'll help transform data into meaningful information by supporting reporting activities, data validation, dashboard development, and process improvement initiatives. You'll collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure data accuracy, support decision-making, and contribute to projects that improve operational efficiency across the organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for students who enjoy a mix of data analysis, technology, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration. You'll contribute to real projects, develop practical technical skills, and gain valuable experience that can help launch a career in data analytics, business intelligence, information technology, or digital transformation.

What you'll do:

  • Support data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives across a variety of projects.
  • Assist with data cleansing, validation, and quality assurance activities to improve data accuracy and reliability.
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that support business decision-making.
  • Assist with report development, testing solutions, and preparing project materials for stakeholders.
  • Analyze datasets to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support data governance activities and help promote data quality best practices.
  • Conduct research and gather information to support project objectives and business needs.
  • Participate in team meetings, presentations, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues, brainstorm solutions, and streamline processes.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and contribute to a positive team environment.

Who you are:

We're looking for a curious, analytical student who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and learning new technologies. You will be a strong candidate if you:

  • Are currently enrolled in and have completed at least the second year of a Bachelor's or Master's program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Have experience working with data analysis, databases, reporting tools, or business intelligence solutions through coursework, projects, or previous work experience.
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with large datasets.
  • Have experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting and visualization tools.
  • Possess a basic understanding of SQL and database concepts.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and team members.
  • Take initiative, work well independently, and contribute positively as part of a team.
  • Have an understanding of data governance, privacy, and security principles, which is considered an asset.

What we offer:

  • Networking & Growth: Join a network of current and former co-op students and build connections through biweekly events such as keynote speaker series, coffee chats, volunteer opportunities, and social activities.
  • Comprehensive Onboarding: Start your term with confidence through our engaging onboarding program, which includes facilitated group orientation sessions, a Student Handbook, and a Technology Guide designed to set you up for success from day one.
  • Community Engagement & Giving Back: Get involved through mentoring opportunities, employee resource groups, volunteer programs, fundraising-matching initiatives, and various committees that support the communities where we live and work.
  • Meaningful Project Experience: Contribute to impactful data and technology initiatives that help improve business processes, reporting capabilities, and decision-making across the organization.
  • Hands-On Learning & Development: Gain practical experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence tools, data governance, and information technology projects while receiving mentorship from experienced professionals.
  • Exposure to Enterprise Systems: Develop an understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, business processes, and the critical role data plays in supporting operational and strategic decision-making across the organization.
