Job Summary:


Working in a team-based environment, the Workforce Management Manager will be an integral part of the Provincial Clinical Efficiency-Workforce Management team. They work collaboratively with the zone leadership teams to provide guidance on high-level recommendations for staffing and bed utilization. Utilizing knowledge from their clinical background, they work with the leadership team to implement action plans to drive those decisions. They are situated in the Integrated Operations Center and work with other stakeholders such as Access and Flow, Paramedicine, Admitting, Operations, to drive predictive resource utilization decisions. They are also the lead admin support for the ANSOS, Acuity Assignment Manager, and Capacity Planner solutions and develop learning and development strategies for implementation and sustainability. They are responsible for creating and implementing provincial, standardized SOP's and policies to guide Workforce Management implementation from a zone and provincial, standardized approach.
They will assist with:
Implementing staffing models, relief strategies, and scheduling services for the organization. Leverage data to inform staffing strategies, demonstrating their role in data-driven decision-making processes that enhance operational effectiveness.
Establishing ANSOS system protocols and facilitates applicable training
Providing professional instruction and function as the expert ANSOS/CP consultant in the areas of skill mix, scheduling, program design, evaluation, instruction, and delivery of evidence-based education.
Coordinating and serving as IT liaison for system maintenance and upgrades.
Generating staffing/scheduling/personnel reports according to specific requirements.

Job Qualifications:

Education:
•Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline or other related discipline is required.
•A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Experience:
•Minimum of 5 years working in a progressively responsible healthcare management role is required.
•Experience with managing, scheduling clinical resources, and coordinating human resources activities is required.
•Experience in implementing quality and or process change initiatives in acute care is required.
•Previous experience with data collection and information technology is required.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
•Demonstrated experience and knowledge of project and change management methodologies.
•Proficient with computer applications including PowerPoint, TEAMS, Meditech, Microsoft Excel, Word, COGNOS, HRIS, and PowerPoint.
•Demonstrated nursing leadership skills with a strong focus in critical thinking/problem solving skills to address skill mix & scheduling issues in a unit/program.
•Demonstrated ability to engage/liaise with program directors, nurse managers, unit charge nurses and support staff managers to understand unique patient care and/or skill mix and scheduling situations.
•Superior oral, writing and communication skills.
•Demonstrated ability to consult, train, coach, and mentor.
•Demonstrated ability to solve problems aggressively and adapt rapidly to change.
•Demonstrated effective time management skills with the ability to manage timelines/meet deadlines.
•Demonstrated strong financial stewardship.

•A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
•Travel throughout the region will be required.
