Jump Recruitment, on behalf of our client, is seeking an experienced Controller to join their dynamic team in St. John's, NL. We are looking for an accounting professional with a CPA designation, to manage financial operations and ensure accuracy and compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
  • Coordinating financial audits and compliance processes.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and records.
  • Managing cash flow, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Managing and controlling budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Implementing and maintaining effective accounting systems and controls.
  • Providing financial analysis and advice to support decision-making.
  • Supporting management with financial planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Leading a small accounting team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Other accounting and financial duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in accounting or financial management.
  • CPA designation or a related post-secondary education in accounting or finance.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting software and financial reporting systems.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Leadership experience in managing a small team would be an asset.
