INTERMEDIATE CLERK STENOGRAPHER (BAND LEVEL 2)

Faculty of Nursing

(Contractual Position to January 25, 2028)

This competition may be used to fill identical positions in this unit within three (3) months of the closing date

DUTIES

The Intermediate Clerk Stenographer will provide exceptional client service and support through the performance of a variety of clerical duties within the general office for the Faculty of Nursing. Duties of the position include typing documents; entering data into a variety of databases and software packages; creating posters, graphs, and spreadsheets; ordering textbooks and materials; coordinating mail-outs; and assisting with the organization of faculty-related events. The position provides support for financial functions by photocopying and tracking related forms, as well as maintaining the departmental listing of fixed assets and related reports. Other related duties will be performed as required, including technical support for classroom equipment, receptionist duties, and updates to directory boards, and online directories.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience (minimum of 1 year) in moderately difficult and varied clerical work; completion of a two-year program in office administration is required; or an equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered. The successful applicant will demonstrate well-developed client service skills, knowledge of general office procedures, and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, as well as the ability to exercise judgment. Knowledge of financial and student administration systems (preferably Banner) would be an asset.

SALARY $43,981 - $51,594 per annum (CUPE Local 1615)
