Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered with Pure Paint Laboratories to recruit a Supply Chain Specialist for their Operations team based in Windsor, Nova Scotia.

Role Description:
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Supply Chain Specialist develops and maintains practical, resource-loaded schedules that support the safe, efficient, and timely execution of production planning. Working closely with Sales, Operations, Maintenance, Project Teams, Procurement, and Stores, you will coordinate resources, identify risks and constraints, and align weekly and daily schedules with business priorities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building, maintaining, and communicating integrated schedules (daily, weekly, and rolling look-ahead) aligned to business priorities and available capacity.
  • Converting approved work orders and scope into executable schedules by validating readiness requirements, including materials, tools, permits, access, labour skills, and durations.
  • Facilitating weekly scheduling meetings with stakeholders and capturing decisions, constraints, and action items.
  • Coordinating labour, equipment, and material planning while level-loading work to optimize utilization and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Identifying critical path activities, dependencies, and schedule risks and proposing mitigation and scenario plans.
  • Monitoring progress, updating schedules using actuals, and managing changes resulting from emergent work, outages, supply delays, or scope changes.
  • Partnering with Procurement and Stores to confirm material availability, expedite shortages, and maintain a clear ready backlog.
  • Maintaining scheduling standards, coding structures, and data quality within the ERP system.
  • Producing routine schedule performance reports (planned vs. actual, compliance, backlog, resource loading) and presenting insights to leadership.
  • Supporting shutdown and turnaround planning activities as required.
  • Building long-range plans ranging from one to six months.


Your Qualifications
As the ideal candidate, you are highly organized and detail-oriented with strong planning, scheduling. analytical, and communication skills. You are capable of balancing competing priorities, facilitating stakeholder discussions, and adapting schedules as operational requirements change.

Key qualifications include:

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in scheduling, production planning, and/or sales and operations planning (S&OP) and procurement.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling principles, including dependencies, constraints, critical path methodology, and capacity/resource planning.
  • Experience with scheduling and/or work management systems such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP, Maximo, Katana, or similar planning systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and data cleaning.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail and commitment to schedule and data accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and re-plan effectively as constraints emerge.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end supply chain, from raw material and packaging suppliers through to final delivery to the end customer.
