Emera Newfoundland & Labrador (ENL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Emera Inc. (EMA- TSX), is responsible for operating and maintaining the 500-megawatt HVdc Maritime Link Project. The Maritime Link transmits energy between the island of Newfoundland to Nova Scotia. We are looking for an?Administrative Assistant to join our team in Halifax in a permanent position. Reporting to the Director, Regulatory & Governance, you will provide expertise and hands-on support in a broad range of functions. This is a unique opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to be a part of a dynamic, collaborative team.
Key Elements of the role include:
Work in close collaboration with the Operations Coordinator in ENL's St. John's office to lead and support the administrative and logistical needs of the ENL business with a primary focus on the Halifax office and staff functions;
Support team to prepare, format, and edit documents for various regulatory filings, Board of Directors meetings and other materials;
Support compliance and records management functions, including using compliance and other information management software; maintain and update corporate records on SharePoint, Teams, Adept, Cority and other enterprise office systems (e.g. oracle);
Perform office administrative functions including scheduling appointments and meetings and associated logistics, managing senior leader calendars and email correspondence as required, creating and finalizing expense reports and travel arrangements;
Correspond with internal and external stakeholders.

You have a minimum of three to five years' professional work experience. More experienced candidates are welcome to apply;
You are a hands-on practitioner, highly organized, and can both handle pressure well and problem-solve;
You have the ability to handle multiple projects and manage your time effectively to prioritize your workload and meet deadlines;
You demonstrate effective communication by applying excellent writing and comprehension skills and are comfortable and able to interact with various internal and external stakeholder groups;
You know how to relate to people in a variety of situations, be highly trustworthy, discreet, and use good judgment;
You are a strong team player and work well independently and collaboratively;
You are attentive to detail and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
You are highly proficient in the MS Office Suite of software (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) and are experienced with the software systems previously noted including SharePoint; you are comfortable using and learning software systems and tools.
