­Maintenance Planner

Location: Soldier's Pond

­Key Responsibilities:

  • ­Performs detailed short- and long-term planning and scheduling for the Soldier's Pond site and surrounding remote sites.
  • Continuously monitors, updates, and manages work plans and backlog to support effective maintenance execution.
  • Estimates labour, craft, crew, material, permit, tool, equipment, outage, maintenance window, and duration requirements for scheduled work, maintenance activities, and projects.
  • Develops detailed work packages, job procedures, maintenance standards, standard job plans, and craft time data in collaboration with assessors.
  • Creates and generates preventative maintenance work orders in JDE, ensuring required resources are assigned.
  • Develops weekly departmental work plans from the annual work plan and current backlog, and supports development of the yearly work plan.
  • Schedules work in accordance with Bills of Material and applies standard time to work orders.
  • Submits and follows up on outage requests, including the annual outage work list to the Energy Control Center.
  • Attends work plan meetings, promotes the Planning and Scheduling process, and supports business process improvement.
  • Ensures planned work considers applicable Health and Safety Program requirements, Environmental Management Programs, Standard Operating Procedures, and the TRO ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

­What We're Looking For:

  • ­Safety oriented with strong interpersonal skills and a team player.

  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Solution oriented with demonstrated creative thinking.

­What You'll Need:

  • ­A diploma in Technology from a recognized post-secondary institution or an Inter-provincial Journeyperson certification. An electrical discipline would be preferred, however, candidates from other trades or disciplines will also be considered.
  • A minimum of five (5) years in an Electrical Utility environment. Experience in maintenance planning would be an asset.
  • A combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
