Location: Moncton, NB

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8am -5pm

Wage: $20.00/hour-$23.00/hour

Job Overview:

A Red Seal Carpenter constructs, installs, and repairs building structures and fixtures using wood, steel, and other materials while adhering to building codes and safety regulations. They interpret blueprints, measure and cut materials, and ensure high-quality craftsmanship on residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and codes; perform layout and material calculations
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install framing, floors, walls, roofs, trim, doors, and windows
• Renovate, repair, and maintain structural components; inspect work and document findings
• Operate and maintain hand and power tools, equipment, scaffolding, and lifting devices
• Mentor apprentices and support crew coordination on site
• Promote and enforce workplace safety, use PPE, and perform jobsite hazard assessments

Qualifications:

• Valid Red?Seal Carpentry certificatio
• Completion of a 3-4?year apprenticeship or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with blueprints, building codes, and construction math (metric/imperial)
• Skilled in hand and power tool operation and related equipment
• Strong physical fitness: able to lift (~50?lb), work at heights, and adapt to varied environments
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
• Valid driver's license for travel to multiple job sites
