Job Title: Heavy Duty Shop Technician / Parts Installer

Rate of Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 /hour (based on experience)

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:30pm

Location: St. Catharine's - Dunkirk Rd. and Welland Ave.

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Hire

We are hiring a Shop Technician/Heavy Duty Parts Installer for client in St. Catharine's that manufactures high quality trucks and trucking equipment. Successful applicants will have 2+ years of experience assembling or installing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and install truck components (e.g., weight calibration, pneumatic and electrical systems)
• Build and maintain mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems for dump trucks and other trucking equipment
• Perform quality inspections on equipment before/after installation
• Follow safety guidelines set out in the facility
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace
• Actively participate in department meetings
• Undergo general training programs
• Lifting up to 50lbs throughout the shift
• Other tasks as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

• 1.5-2 years of manufacturing (automotive preferred) or technician experience
• Strong communication
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Welding experience (preferred)
• Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs
• CSA Safety Shoes
• Willing to provide a Criminal Record Search
