  • Supporting audit preparation and liaising with external auditors and advisors as required
  • Overseeing and mentoring accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure strong team performance
  • Maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
  • Supporting leadership with ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and decision-support information
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reporting efficiencies

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Progressive experience within the full accounting cycle, ideally within construction, real estate, or project-based environments
  • Strong proficiency with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, and related financial platforms
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Leadership capability with experience mentoring or supporting junior accounting staff
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with operational and leadership teams
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn and grow within a developing organization
