This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about automotive repair who is eager to learn and grow in the collision repair industry. Founded in 2002 by a group of four successful collision repair owners, CSN Collision was established to assist independent collision repair facilities to improve their operations through performance assessments, ongoing training, and marketing initiatives. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As an Apprentice Autobody Technician, you will work under the guidance of experienced technicians to develop your skills in collision and autobody repair:
- Assist with repairing and replacing damaged vehicle panels, frames, and structural components using hand and power tools.
- Support dent removal, sanding, painting preparation, masking, refinishing, and vehicle restoration processes.
- Learn how to assess vehicle damage and understand repair procedures and manufacturer standards.
- Assist with vehicle preparation, disassembly, and reassembly as required.
- Safely operate shop equipment and follow proper lifting and material handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete repairs efficiently and on schedule.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures, quality standards, and shop protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development opportunities to grow within the trade.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Registered as an Autobody Apprentice or a strong interest in pursuing a career in autobody/collision repair.
- Previous experience in an automotive, mechanical, labour, or shop environment is considered an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in learning vehicle repair techniques.
- Willingness to learn dent removal, sanding, refinishing, painting preparation, and structural repair processes.
- Ability to use or willingness to learn hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely.
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn from experienced technicians.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and professionalism.
