Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our health and safety team in Edmonton, Alberta. This contractual, casual role is essential for providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to clients, ensuring their communication needs are met effectively. The SLP will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with speech and language disorders, contributing to our mission of promoting health and well-being in the community.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments
- Develop individualized communication plans
- Provide direct therapy sessions
- Train caregivers and staff on communication strategies
- Document progress and submit reports
- Participate in care planning meetings
Qualifications:
- A recognized degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
- Registration with the appropriate regulatory body in Alberta.
- Active license in good standing
- Previous experience in a autism and developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to client care.
- Proficiency in using assessment tools and therapy techniques.
- Strong report writing skills
