DUTIES
The Facilities Attendant is responsible for maintaining all shipping and receiving operations for the Ridge Road campus and multiple satellite locations. Duties include preparing and packaging items, including dangerous goods; creating documentation and customer invoices, waybills and arranging transport via couriers or Canada Post; maintaining and ensuring accurate document control of files pertaining to shipping and receiving; Set up and break down of tables, linens, podiums, equipment and accessories for building functions and events; control and maintain storeroom operations, including the delivery of paper, envelopes, letterhead and related supplies. Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (1-3 years) in shipping and receiving, and an inventory control environment; graduation from high school supplemented by completion of course work in business administration, supply chain management, or other related area; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Ability to work as a contributing member of the team; excellent time management skills; attention to detail and willingness to learn; proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required. Lifting or moving objects safely is required. Possession of a valid driver's license as issued by the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador is required. WHIMIS and TDG certification considered assets.
SALARY: $43,551– $51,086 per annum (NAPE Local 7850)
