Key Responsibilities:

Performs a range of semi-skilled and labor type tasks on buildings, roads, grounds, dykes, dams and structures; performs cleaning, cooking, snow removal, garbage removal, landscaping, operation of hydraulic control gates, painting, sandblasting, rigging and scaffolding. Assists in performing maintenance and repairs to corporation's facilities, structures and grounds including carpentry, plumbing, painting and masonry work. Shall staff up-country structures when required. Will be required to operate mobile equipment and to work at heights up to 130M and in confined spaces. May be required to perform tanker duties at the marine terminal and perform Type 1 asbestos removal as per provincial regulations. All other duties related to or associated with this classification

What You'll Need:

High school education and three (3) years experience and training in the building trades. Completion of a certified scaffolding course Knowledge and training of the construction and operation of earth and concrete dams and the operation of diesel generator units. Knowledge and training in operation of mobile equipment and hydraulic boom operations. Shall have a thorough knowledge of all regulations and safety rules. Must possess a class 5 driver's license. The following endorsements: 03 - tandem axle and 09 - air brake would be an asset.
