DUTIES
The Systems Officer provides academic support services to Grenfell Campus and performs specialized analytical, technical, and supervisory work in planning and controlling the operation of the Banner Student System and related systems for the Office of the Registrar (Grenfell Campus). Duties include, but are not limited to, managing and supervising staff who provide systems support in the Registrar's Office (Grenfell Campus); coordinating the production and maintenance of the class schedule for undergraduate and graduate courses using lnfosilem and Banner Student; troubleshooting scheduling conflicts and challenges and ensuring efficient use of academic space in consultation with Deans and program chairs; recommending strategic improvements to system functionality and usage, and assisting with identifying and addressing technical and functional issues; introducing new systems and providing staff training; developing and maintaining job aids and other training materials; coordinating the final and deferred exam schedules and room bookings; coordinating the submission of final grades and processing change of grade requests; developing and providing enrollment and registration reports to key stakeholders; managing records and retention of information in the Registrar's Office; coordinating the approval and setup of new user accounts in Banner Student; representing the Registrar's Office on various academic committees; and performing other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Considerable experience (3-5 years) in a registrarial environment, with experience in information technology systems, registration, and/or information or records management; completion of an undergraduate degree in business, information technology, or computer science is required; or an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered. Knowledge of enterprise systems, scheduling software, and room scheduling systems, as well as a solid understanding of university structure, governance, and decision making processes, are essential for this role. The successful applicant will also have experience successfully leading a team; the ability to exercise independent judgement; proficiency in analyzing data and preparing reports; excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; and the ability to work with individuals from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Experience working with Banner and Infosilem is considered an asset.
SALARY $67,706 - $87,763 per annum (Management and Professional)
