The Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) department of the Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland is seeking applications to fill one permanent Network Administrator IV position. The ICT Department is responsible for providing information technology and information management support and protection, including classroom technologies and communication services, to approximately 400 faculty and staff and 1,200 students at the Marine Institute.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Network Administrator IV is a senior position reporting to the manager of the ICT department of the Marine Institute (MI) and is responsible for the Marine Institute's networking and communication infrastructure and services. This position is primarily responsible for managing and maintaining MI's computer networks and related systems for data and voice communications (Cisco Unified Communications & Collaboration). This position is a senior member of the ICT Team and integral to the planning and strategizing of current and future business requirements to develop innovative technical network solutions for the Marine Institute. As well, this position will be required to perform regular network monitoring, trouble shooting, and analysis and be involved in the development of associated network and security policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (5-7 years) in an enterprise network environment; earned a bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of Cisco network certifications (CCNA or CCNP) or other network vendor related training and certification; is well-versed with Cisco, Fortinet, HPE and Aruba network technologies and devices; possesses excellent communication skills; works well as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; has strong attention to detail; demonstrated experience and proficiency in document control and change management procedures.
SALARY $71,162 - $80,387 per annum (NAPE Local 7850)
