Definition of Work:
The Clerk II provides printing and mail services to Central Health by means of collecting, processing, and delivering mail. Duties also include operating digital copiers and other related equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the digital copiers used in reproducing black and white or multi-color forms, pamphlets and other materials needed by departments within Central Health, as well as, the folding, and cerlox binding equipment. Responsible for schedules of materials to be printed and ensures that timelines are met. Enters data into templates for printing and ensures equipment is functioning properly at all times and arranges for repair and maintenance of equipment. The successful candidate will sort and deliver incoming mail, packages, and other material on established schedules. Operates standard mail room equipment such as postage meter machines, scales, and related equipment; weigh letters and packages for mail and applies proper postage. Also responsible for informing supervisor when materials and other supplies are required. Answering telephone calls and responding to routine inquiries and other related duties as requiredThe successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centred care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.

? Regularly required to lift/move objects up to 25 lbs. and use a cart to transport objects within the building. Push/pull forces in the sedentary range (0-10lbF).
? Occasionally required to bend/twist, stretch/reach, and/or complete low level postures (kneeling/crouching/stooping).
? Constant sitting is required. Workflow may provide opportunity to occasionally stand and walk to take postural breaks at regular intervals.
? Work Environments present potential for exposure to scented/chemical products and/or other allergens within publicly accessible areas.
Required Qualifications:
? Completion of a two-year Office Administration course approved by Central Health.
? Completion of a 60-hour Medical Terminology course.
? Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
? Demonstrated communication and organizational skills are essential.
? Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and good judgment, as well as, the ability to work with the general public and clients with tact and diplomacy.
? A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
? A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.

Preferred qualifications:
? Demonstrated knowledge of Meditech software.
