About Atlantic Cultivation Ltd. & Atlantic Cannabis (ACL)
Atlantic Cultivation is a premium Canadian cannabis cultivator and processor located in St. John's, NL. We operate a world-class, state-of-the-art indoor cannabis production facility where we cultivate cannabis using top feed drip hydroponics in rockwool. Additionally, we have 10 Cannabis Retail Licenses. These stores are called Atlantic Cannabis and they are located throughout NL. Both our production facility and our retail stores operate around our core values: an obsession with quality, community, and fun!
The Role - Customer Service Rep
Reporting to the Commercial manager, the Customer Service Representative (CSR) will focus on developing relationships with select License Cannabis Retailers (LCR) in provincial markets. The CSR will develop meaningful relationships with retail stores, provide product education to workers and consumers, create brand awareness, and support community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Rep
- Develop and maintain strong, meaningful, and long-lasting relationships with LCR's.
- Be a gateway and liaison between ACL and other LCR's.
- Demonstrate a high level of knowledge about the cannabis industry, regulations, and products through continuous learning and development.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of industry-related trends, practices, and events.
- Ensure all activities follow best practices and meet the requirements of national, provincial, and municipal legislation.
- Consult LCR's on best practices and educate them on successful products and categories.
- Manage outreach from retailers outside of NL, including event sponsorship, complaints and resolution
- Manage sample and merch requests for stores
- Monitor ROI on any sample/merch endeavors
Community Engagement
- Build relationships and collaborate with the broader cannabis community.
- Lead community driven activities and increase visibility of ACL brands and products outside NL.
- Participate in the development and delivery of responsible consumption communications and campaigns.
Marketing and Branding
- Participate in the delivery of retail and consumer marketing programs, product knowledge sessions and education initiatives.
- Promote brand growth and expansion.
- Monitor product distribution and consumer reactions.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of the Canadian cannabis industry, including federal and provincial regulations (Cannabis Act) and retail operations.
- Strong relationship-building, sales, and customer service skills, preferably with experience in B2B environments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking abilities to deliver product education and brand messaging.
- Ability to plan and execute community engagement, marketing, and branding activities.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in data tracking and reporting on ROI for sampling, merchandising, and promotional initiatives.
- Willingness to travel to retail sites and community events may be required.
Job Specifics
- Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Based at our St. John's, NL head office.
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Completion of a Criminal Record Check is required.
