Job Title: Front End Loader

Location: Hamilton, Ontario - Eastport Drive & Woodward Ave
Available Shifts: 12-hour rotating day and night shifts

Rate of Pay: $25.00/hour

Job Type: Seasonal

Our client in Hamilton is hiring for day and night shift Terminal Front-End Loaders at their fertilizer distribution site. We are looking for individuals who can safely lift 50lbs and have previous heavy operating experience. Successful candidates must be available to work both outdoors in all weather conditions and be flexible for day or night shifts and overtime. Candidates also must have their G-Class Driver's License and Working at Heights Certification.

Requirements:

• Valid G-Class Driver's License
• Working at Heights Certification
• Available for rotating 12-hour shifts

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Safely operate heavy equipment - loader with high tip bucket, skid steer, etc.
• Load and unload liquid fertilizer trucks using overhead pipe and gangway
• Assist with manufacturing of urea-ammonium nitrate (UAN) fertilizer
• Work in both dry and wet facilities
• Participate in and follow all safety procedures and practices
• Perform light repairs on various equipment
• Work at heights when necessary
• Basic operation of scale systems
• Other general labour tasks as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience operating heavy equipment: Loader with bucket, skid steer, forklift
• Must have valid G-Class License
• Must be Working at Heights Certified
• Must be comfortable lifting 50lbs
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Must have basic computer skills to operate scale system
• Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
