Job Description About This Role

We are looking for someone armed with a strong governance, PM, or financial management background to develop and maintain departmental governance processes and tools. Main focus will be around headcount, financials, and executive reporting on both project and department level. The role will require a detail-oriented individual who is able to drill down on project cost details and create appropriate presentations for all levels of management and business partners. Ability to adapt to ad-hoc requests and time sensitive deliverables while maintaining existing processes. The role will have extensive exposure to all levels of management within TDS technology as well as a variety of partner teams across TD Securities. Meaningful work is fueled by meaningful performance and career development conversations with your manager. Here's some of what you may be asked to perform:

  • Maintain weekly management reporting process for all workstreams within the department to ensure executive awareness of each team's progress and accomplishments

  • Partner with IT Support, HR, Facilities, IT Security, Business Management, Vendor Management, external vendors, application support, and Finance to onboard new resources joining the team

  • Coordinate quarterly executive reports with each team and aggregate/refine the content to highlight accomplishments, impacts, and upcoming deliverables

  • Generate monthly financial views for the department head with detailed views for each project and team

  • Challenge yourself as an expert, lead innovator and change agent for the programs and services under management.

  • Draw on best practices and your knowledge of internal and external business issues to improve products or services.

  • Monitor and control costs associated with the work you do.

  • Be prepared to collaborate with governance and control groups, (e.g. regulatory and operational risk, compliance and audit), provide your subject matter expertise and consult on risk issues related to Engineering technology and tools.

  • Develop and/or contribute to negotiations of third-party contracts/agreements.

  • Work with your team, business and tech partners, vendor platform provides, engineering firms etc. to keep abreast of trends, products, frameworks, applications.

  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of external development, engineering, emerging solutions, market conditions and their impact.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum 5 years with solid experience in MS Office Suite of applications, particularly Excel and Powerpoint

  • High familiarity with Excel formulas and tables, VB script preferred

  • Minimum 5 years in project and headcount financial tracking and reporting

  • Comfortable working with large amounts of data

  • University or post-graduate degree or college diploma

  • 5 years with Banking or Financial institution experience

  • Ability to work with multiple partners from different departments

  • Ability to influence and negotiate with partners to reach desired outcome

  • Excellent communications skills

  • Driven and self- motivated

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, written and verbal

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to work in an ambiguous fast paced environment with minimal supervision

  • Ability to cope with changing priorities

  • Ability to work effectively with business and technology
