This position is:

100% in office reporting to the designated office.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, the Manager, Eastlink Community TV will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and programming requirements for Eastlink Community TV’s community television network in Ontario. They will oversee production content with an emphasis on increasing the amount of live/taped non repeat programming year over year with emphasis on diversity and gender equity. They will deliver high quality programming that supports corporate goals and will work closely with the creative department and marketing department to deliver assets for awareness and promotion of programs. This role will prepare monthly activity reports, monitor budgets, and manage staffing hours according to guidelines, while overseeing various other projects and initiatives as required. Additionally, the Manager fosters positive working relationships within the programming department, media partners, community leaders, volunteers, and elected officials, to consistently develop effective, local and access programming opportunities. A key part of this position will be the management of partnerships with various partners such as local sports organizations, Councils, Bingos, Church groups, and any other special event opportunities that may come to the community. This role is a member of the community programming department management team.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will thrive on teamwork and collaboration, and be a strong, effective communicator and creative problem solver, with excellent time management and multi-project management skills. Above all, this person will have a passion for television production, a desire to lead teams, along with well-rounded knowledge and experience to add value to this dynamic, fast-paced team.

Other Qualifications:

  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Experience managing multiple social media accounts and leveraging to promote business activities
  • 1-2 years’ experience in events or multi-project management is an asset
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends on occasion
