Are you interested in communications, employee engagement, training, and helping people navigate change?
As an Organizational Change Management Co-op, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting initiatives that help employees successfully adopt new tools, processes, and ways of working across Nova Scotia Power.
During the Winter 2027 Co-op term, you'll work alongside experienced Organizational Change Management (OCM) professionals and project leaders supporting a large-scale business transformation. You'll contribute to employee engagement initiatives, communication campaigns, training coordination, and project activities that help ensure people are informed, prepared, and supported throughout periods of change.
This is an exciting opportunity for students interested in communications, human resources, organizational development, marketing, project management, or business transformation. You'll develop practical skills while seeing firsthand how people, communication, and change come together to drive successful organizational outcomes.
What you'll do:
- Assist with ongoing change management activities linked to business and project stakeholder engagement, employee and project communications, training coordination, and readiness initiatives.
- Support ongoing projects by creating materials such as presentation decks, reports, and engagement resources.
- Conduct research and analysis of employee feedback, change impacts, industry best practices, and stakeholder needs.
- Create and maintain SharePoint sites, reports, trackers, and project documentation.
- Coordinate project events, and engagement activities, including logistics and follow-up actions.
- Participate in team meetings, presentations, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and other initiatives as assigned.
Who you are:
We're looking for a proactive and creative student who enjoys working with people, communicating ideas, and supporting meaningful organizational initiatives. You will be a strong candidate if you:
- Are currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in Commerce, Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Marketing, or a related field, and are participating in a co-op program.
- Have strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Enjoy building relationships and working collaboratively with others.
- Are highly organized and able to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
- Have strong attention to detail and take pride in delivering high-quality work.
- Are comfortable using Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Have an interest in communications, employee engagement, change management, training, or project coordination.
- Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Have experience supporting events, communications, training, stakeholder engagement, or project activities (considered an asset).
- Have experience with Canva or other design and communication tools (considered an asset).
