Job Summary:

Canadian Fiber Optics Corp. is looking for a IT Implementation Manager in the Calgary Head Office, responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of information technology systems and solutions within an organization. The role involves coordinating various aspects of IT projects, ensuring successful execution, and aligning the technology implementation with the organization's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that outline tasks, timelines, and resources required for successful IT implementations.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a cross-functional team of IT professionals, ensuring collaboration and effective communication throughout the implementation process.
  3. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with key stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and end-users, to provide updates, gather requirements, and address concerns.
  4. Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources effectively, ensuring that team members have the necessary tools and support to meet project milestones.
  5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure successful implementation.
  6. Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to guarantee that the IT solutions meet established standards and requirements.
  7. Budget Oversight: Monitor and manage the budget for IT implementation projects, ensuring that expenditures align with the approved budget.
  8. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and third-party service providers to procure necessary technology and services, ensuring they meet organizational needs.
  9. Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new technologies and minimize resistance from end-users.
  10. Training and Support: Organize training programs for end-users and provide ongoing support to ensure a smooth transition to the new IT systems.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Project Management: Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and close projects on time and within budget.
  2. Leadership: Effective leadership skills to guide and motivate the project team toward successful outcomes.

  2. Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of information technology, including hardware, software, networks, and IT infrastructure.
