Location: Yarmouth, Nova Scotia

Pay Rate: $60-70/hr (based on experience)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a travel position in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a busy medical/surgical unit with a primary focus on cardiovascular and acute medical patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.

• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.

• Maintain accurate and complete patient records.

Qualifications:

• Current LPN licensure in Nova Scotia preferred.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a busy medical/surgical unit.

• Experience with cardiovascular and acute medical patients preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
