Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Training and development.
  • Business performance management.
  • Benefits and compensation management.
  • Improving HR process and workflows throughout the organization.
  • Conduct disciplinary actions and employee performance management plans as well as resolving internal conflicts.
  • Facilitate performance reviews.
  • Employee relations, retention, employee rewards, and culture.
  • Manage the HRIS system and payroll systems.
  • Develop recruitment strategies.
  • Liaison between employee and managers.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers in the process of recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and terminations.
  • Conducting survey management.
  • Develop, improve, and implement HR policies & procedures.
  • Manage employee records.
  • Stay up to date with changing Employment Standards legislation across Canada.
  • Set departmental goals and develop a plan that aligns with organizational needs.
  • Lead, manage, and provide support for the HR and Payroll Team (Canada and USA).

Qualifications

  • 7 years experience in a HR role.
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Experience processing payroll.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team-based environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organized.
  • Understand and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

Additional consideration will be given to those having any of the following:

  • Previous experience with HR in the United States.
  • Experience in HR in multiple provinces.
  • Experience using BambooHR.

Other Information:

  • This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 8:00- 5:00. Located in Ile Des Chenes, MB
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Wage will depend on the qualifications of the candidate.
