Job Title: IT Contracts Management Specialist-Intermediate Job ID: CV9298016722Location: Vancouver, BCOverview:Reporting to the Lead, Sourcing, and Contracts Management, the IT Contracts Management Specialist is responsible for preparing, negotiating, and administering IT contracts for hardware, software, maintenance, consulting, and non-disclosure (NDA). This role is accountable for oversight of strategic contracts including all transactional responsibilities related to the company's largest technology suppliers. This includes the contractual management and exploitation of maximum potential value available to the company for agreements with suppliers like Dell, TELUS, Rogers, Ivalua, Rockwell, etc. This role will also be required to provide leadership and subject matter expertise for any additional strategic supplier relationships. What you will be doing:
  • Direct timely and comprehensive negotiation and administration of information services software, capital equipment, supplies, and services agreements.
  • Redline IT vendor contracts and interface with internal and external legal counsels to finalize contractual terms
  • Take a leadership role in the preparation of responses to solicitations.
  • Work with customers, management, and program teams to resolve issues, secure approvals, and ensure successful contract execution; serves as a point of contact for suppliers during all phases of the program.
  • Leads the negotiations of medium profile procurement initiatives in partnership with managers. The successful outcomes of these initiatives are those solutions that meet business requirements and create value for the company as measured by cost savings, cost avoidance, and best-in-class agreements terms and conditions.
  • Implement agreements with strategic suppliers with up to a $10M
  • Liaises between the company & suppliers, acting as a central point of contact for contractual issues. Leads and manages a group of matrixed team members including senior managers and directors across the enterprise (Legal, Risk, Tax, Finance, Procurement, and T&I) as well as supplier account teams.
  • Provides Subject Matter Expertise for hardware, software, maintenance, and consulting spend from initiation of requirements, engagement of suppliers for proposals, coordination of financial documents, engagement of Procurement, interaction with Legal, presentation of a contract to executives for signoff, etc.
  • Develops trusted advisor relationships and provides leadership and valued contracting advice to facilitate the effective management and completion of procurement initiatives.
  • Draft and review IT vendor contracts independently or in partnership with, an IT Contracts Administrators and/or legal counsel including but not limited to: consulting services agreements and SOWs, software end user license agreements, maintenance-support agreements, outsourced service level agreements, hardware, and cloud-based services agreements
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
What you must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in the supply chain, business administration, logistics, finance, engineering, or related discipline required
  • 1-9 years' experience in leading contract negotiation, pricing, and procurement activities.
  • Background in or general knowledge of information technology hardware and software.
