Job Title: Supply Planner & BuyerJob ID: MH694405510Location: Burnaby, BC Overview:The Supply Planner/Buyer is responsible for the end-to-end supply management for our client with the objective of ensuring material availability. Through internal and external collaboration, this role will collect information on demand/supply that will be use to decide on inventory levels, production priorities to prevent inventory shortage/overstock. You will work closely with all departments to provide Business Services support, within a strong internal control environment, for processing purchase orders and provide operations with business analysis support. What you will be doing:
  • Translate demand plans into rolling supply plan for the buyer and planner to execute
  • Create purchase orders and work with supply base to ensure timely and accurate supply
  • Manage Inventory levels through creation of purchase orders transfer orders and work orders to ensure continued supply.
  • Manage backorder situation and develop recovery plans with suppliers and partners.
  • Act as first point of contact and first level escalation for suppliers and 3PL and provide resolution for inventory and delivery issues.
  • Monitor and report proactively potential supply and stock availability issues.
  • Assist support and provide backup coverage to Supply Chain/Ops team members.
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties related to the role.
What you must have:
  • 2-5 years' experience with coordinating purchasing activities across all departments and maintaining positive vendor relations
  • Advanced Excel experience and knowledge and proficient with other MS Office Products and ERP, preferably NetSuite platform
  • Concerned with maintaining a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Autonomous/independent thinker with the ability to lead and drive process improvements
  • Comfortable working under pressure with multiple simultaneous deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level attention to details.
