ROLE SUMMARY

The Construction Manager position is the first step in taking a larger field leadership role on our utility sized renewable energy projects. The Construction Manager works closely with the Construction Superintendent and Director of Construction to ensure timely, quality, and successful completion of the project.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work as part of the construction team in the building of energy storage design-build projects
  • Familiar with design and operation of power systems ranging from 208V to 35kV distribution and transmission systems
  • Knowledge, interpretation, and application of NFPA 70 E and applicable energy codes
  • Knowledge of single-line drawings, elementary and wiring diagrams, equipment specifications (including transformers, MCC, switchgear, substation equipment); power plans, conduit plans, cable schedules, system studies and protective relay settings.
  • Ability to interpret client specifications, redline construction packages
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required
  • Must be able to attend commercial and industrial sites and observe all applicable safety regulations
  • Able to work under and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with supervising heavy civil and electrical trades
  • Experience working on projects from development through COD

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-7 years' experience in solar/energy construction
  • General knowledge of construction principles/processes required.
  • Experience building relationships with owners and managing field staff.
  • Proven commitment to safety
  • OSHA 30
  • 5+ years electrical experience
  • 5 + years civil experience
