Lambert Nemec Group is partnering with our client, a well-established, local organization to recruit for a Junior Human Resources Business Partner. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven HR professional who enjoys working directly with leaders and employees to support day-to-day people needs, resolve workplace concerns, and help attract strong talent. This is a great fit for an HR professional with a few years of generalist experience who is ready to take on more ownership and build real partnerships across the business. This role joins a strong HR team that enjoys working collaboratively, with plenty of room for growth and professional development. What You'll Do
  • Support the full recruitment cycle: work with hiring managers to define needs, source and screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and manage offers
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for managers and employees on HR questions, policies, and workplace matters
  • Handle employee relations issues from intake through resolution, including investigations, documentation, and coaching managers through difficult conversations
  • Partner with leaders on performance management, onboarding, and employee engagement
  • Contribute to HR projects and programs, including policy updates and people-related initiatives
  • Track and report on HR metrics such as turnover, hiring activity, and employee relations trends
  • Keep HR practices consistent and compliant with employment legislation

What You Bring

  • 3 to 5 years of HR generalist, HR advisor, or HR coordinator experience
  • Hands-on recruitment experience, including sourcing, interviewing, and candidate assessment
  • A solid grounding in employee relations, with confidence handling sensitive matters discreetly
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility with leaders at all levels
  • Good judgment, attention to detail, and comfort managing a busy and varied workload
  • A degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • CPHR designation (or actively working toward it) is an asset
  • Experience with an HRIS and applicant tracking system is an asset

Rewards / Benefits

  • Competitive salary of $65,000 to $80,000, based on experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Primarily in-office role with some flexibility to work hybrid
  • Meaningful exposure to both strategic and hands-on HR work, with a collaborative team that values curiosity, accountability, and good communication
