Ready to take the next step in your automotive career? Bruce Mazda is looking for a motivated, hands-on Fixed Operations Assistant Manager to help lead our Service and Parts operations! ResponsibilitiesThis role offers a balance of administrative responsibilities and hands-on support, dividing your time between processing warranty claims, managing repair orders and maintaining accurate records, and supporting the team and daily operations of the Service and Parts departments.
- Prepare, submit and track warranty claims, ensuring documentation is complete and meets manufacturer requirements.
- Follow up on outstanding or rejected warranty claims, resolve discrepancies and track payments.
- Process and review repair orders, estimates and invoices for accuracy and timely completion.
- Maintain organized records and monitor outstanding paperwork to keep department administration up to date.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the Service and Parts departments, including appointment scheduling, shop workflow and technician workloads.
- Coach and support service advisors and parts team members, encouraging teamwork and accountability.
- Build strong customer relationships and address concerns promptly and professionally.
- Help monitor department performance, identify opportunities for improvement and support sales and profitability goals.
- Support parts availability and inventory management in collaboration with the parts team.
- Help maintain a safe, organized workplace and uphold dealership and manufacturer standards.
What You Bring
Experience in automotive service, parts or fixed operations.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an asset.
Strong customer service skills and the confidence to handle challenging situations.
Excellent organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
An understanding of shop workflow, repair orders and dealership processes.
A proactive approach and willingness to jump in wherever support is needed.
Comfort using dealership management systems; experience with PBS is an asset.
A valid driver's licence and acceptable driving record.
