LICENSED 310S AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Newmarket, ON | Full-Time | Competitive Hourly Pay + Exceptional Benefits

Big dealership benefits. Small shop atmosphere. A better place to turn wrenches.

You're a skilled technician. You deserve a workplace that treats you like one.

At DRIVEN, we believe great technicians deserve more than just a paycheque. They deserve a clean, modern shop, the right equipment, steady work, supportive leadership and a team that respects their experience.

We're looking for an experienced, licensed 310S Automotive Service Technician to join our growing service department in Newmarket.

We offer something that can be hard to find in the automotive industry: the professional environment, equipment and benefits you'd expect from a major franchise dealership, combined with the personal atmosphere of a smaller, close-knit team.

And here's one of the biggest advantages: much of our work involves inspecting, safetying and reconditioning vehicles from our own dealership inventory. That means a consistent flow of work, a wide variety of vehicles and less of the customer-pay pressure found in many traditional repair shops.

We work on all makes and models, including domestic, Asian and European vehicles. Technicians with experience servicing and repairing European brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen and Porsche will find their expertise especially valuable here.

If you're great at what you do and looking for a shop where you can enjoy doing it, we want to meet you.

WHY TECHNICIANS WILL LOVE WORKING AT DRIVEN

A great technician shouldn't have to choose between a good paycheque and a good work environment.

Here's what makes DRIVEN different:

  • Competitive hourly compensation. Get paid for your experience, skills and the quality of work you bring to the shop.

  • Exceptional employee benefits. Enjoy a comprehensive company benefits package designed to compete with those offered by major franchise dealerships.

  • A shop you'll be proud to work in. Clean, modern, professionally maintained and equipped with quality tools, hoists and diagnostic technology.

  • Steady, consistent work. Our dealership inventory provides a regular flow of safeties, inspections and reconditioning work.

  • Less customer-pay pressure. Spend more time doing quality mechanical work and less time dealing with the pressures of a traditional customer-pay environment.

  • All makes and models. Enjoy working on everything from domestic and Asian vehicles to European luxury and performance brands.

  • A smaller, close-knit team. You're not just another technician number on a payroll. Your experience, opinions and contributions matter.

  • Management that has your back. Work with a supportive Fixed Operations Manager and Shop Foreman who value communication, organization and teamwork.

  • Variety without the monotony. Keep your skills sharp by working across multiple manufacturers instead of being limited to a single brand.

  • Clear expectations and organized processes. Know what's expected, have the support to do your job and take pride in the results.

  • Long-term opportunity. Join a growing automotive company with ambitious plans for the future.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

This is a hands-on technician role focused primarily on vehicle inspections, safeties, mechanical repairs and dealership reconditioning.

  • Perform Ontario safety inspections. Conduct thorough inspections and ensure vehicles meet all applicable safety requirements.

  • Get vehicles retail-ready. Inspect, diagnose and recondition used vehicles to meet DRIVEN's quality standards.

  • Work on all makes and models. Service and repair domestic, Asian and European vehicles, including luxury and performance brands.

  • Do what you do best. Complete brake, steering, suspension, drivetrain and general mechanical repairs.

  • Put your diagnostic skills to work. Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical concerns using modern diagnostic equipment.

  • Take on different challenges. Work with a wide range of automotive systems, technologies and repair requirements.

  • Take ownership of your repairs. Complete assigned work accurately, efficiently and to a high professional standard.

  • Keep things organized. Document inspection findings, recommended repairs and completed work using our digital systems.

  • Be part of a great team. Collaborate with our Shop Foreman, Service Manager and fellow technicians to maintain a productive workflow.

  • Do it right the first time. Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and quality control.

YOU'LL FIT RIGHT IN IF YOU...
  • Are a skilled, experienced technician who takes pride in your trade.

  • Enjoy working on a variety of makes and models rather than specializing in just one manufacturer.

  • Have strong mechanical and diagnostic skills across different automotive systems.

  • Know your way around Ontario safety inspections.

  • Value quality workmanship and doing the job right the first time.

  • Can work independently, manage your time and maintain strong productivity.

  • Are dependable, professional and take your responsibilities seriously.

  • Have a positive attitude and enjoy being part of a team.

  • Respect your coworkers and appreciate a well-organized shop.

  • Want to work somewhere your experience is valued and your contributions are noticed.

We're looking for a professional who knows their craft, takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a team that's building something great.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Valid Ontario 310S Automotive Service Technician Certificate of Qualification.

  • Several years of professional automotive repair experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Ontario vehicle safety inspection requirements.

  • Experience inspecting, diagnosing and repairing a variety of makes and models.

  • Experience with European vehicles is a highly valued asset, particularly BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen and Porsche.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic abilities.

  • Experience with modern automotive diagnostic equipment and technology.

  • Valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean, insurable driving record.

  • Your own professional automotive technician hand tools.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean and productive workspace.

Previous dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory. Experienced technicians from independent repair shops are equally welcome to apply.

A BETTER SHOP. A BETTER TEAM. A BETTER OPPORTUNITY.

Let's face it. The right work environment can make all the difference.

At DRIVEN, we're building a service department where skilled technicians can focus on what they do best without unnecessary shop politics, constant micromanagement or feeling like their hard work goes unnoticed.

We believe in treating technicians like professionals, investing in quality equipment and creating an environment built around respect, accountability and teamwork.

Our shop may be smaller than a major franchise dealership, but our standards aren't.

We offer the benefits and professionalism of a larger organization, with the personal attention and team atmosphere that makes coming to work something to look forward to.

And as DRIVEN continues expanding across Ontario, we're looking for talented people who want to grow with us.
