Integrated Staffing is currently recruiting for Waste Collection Labourers in the Fredericton, NB area. This opportunity is ideal for reliable, hardworking individuals who are comfortable performing physically demanding work outdoors and working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
This position involves the collection of residential and commercial waste along designated routes. Candidates should be prepared for early mornings, physical activity throughout the shift, and varying shift lengths depending on route requirements.
Key Responsibilities

• Collect residential and commercial waste from designated locations along assigned routes.
• Lift and empty waste bins and containers throughout the shift.
• Assist with servicing approximately 75–100 residential properties during a typical shift.
• Safely work with and around hydraulic equipment.
• Perform repetitive lifting, carrying, walking, bending, and other physical tasks.
• Work efficiently alongside team members to complete assigned routes.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and instructions.
• Remain alert and safety-conscious while working around vehicles and equipment.
• Perform duties outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Perform other waste collection and general labour duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous general labour, waste collection, construction, landscaping, or other physically demanding work experience is considered an asset.
• Ability to perform physical labour for extended periods, including repetitive lifting, carrying, walking, bending, and standing.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work extended shifts and overtime as required.
• 8-inch steel-toed work boots and a reflective safety vest are required.
• Heavy-duty work gloves are strongly recommended.
• Safety glasses can be provided by the client.

Working Conditions

• Work will take place along residential and commercial collection routes in the Fredericton, NB area.
• Position involves physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Regular lifting, carrying, walking, bending, and repetitive movement is required.
• Shifts begin at 6:00 a.m. Monday through Friday and continue until the assigned route is completed.
• Shift lengths will vary and may be up to 14 hours.
• Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
• Saturday shifts may be available during peak periods.
• Employees should come prepared with lunch, snacks, plenty of water, and sunscreen, as opportunities to stop for food during the route may be limited.
