White Rock Volkswagen – Assistant Sales ManagerThe Opportunity

Ready to take the next step in your automotive leadership career?

White Rock Volkswagen, a proud member of Trotman Auto Group, is looking for an Assistant Sales Manager who knows how to sell, understands how to lead, and is ready to help drive the performance of a successful sales team.

This is not a position where you sit on the sidelines. You'll be on the floor, working alongside the Sales Manager and sales team, helping structure deals, coach performance, manage opportunities, overcome objections, close business, and ensure every guest receives an exceptional experience.

If you're a proven automotive sales professional ready to move into leadership or an experienced Assistant Sales Manager looking for your next opportunity, this could be your next move.

Who Thrives Here?

You're a salesperson at heart, but a leader in the making.

You love the energy of the sales floor. You understand the numbers, know how to move a deal forward, and can recognize when a salesperson needs coaching, direction, or a push.

You don't wait to be told what needs to happen. You see the opportunity, step in, and help make it happen.

You likely:

  • Love to compete and want your team to win

  • Know how to build rapport and close deals

  • Lead through action, accountability, and consistency

  • Enjoy coaching and helping salespeople improve

  • Understand that follow-up and CRM discipline drive results

  • Stay calm and solutions-focused when the floor gets busy

  • Take ownership instead of making excuses

  • Want to continue developing your automotive management career

Most importantly, you bring energy, urgency, accountability, and a genuine desire to succeed.

Why Join White Rock Volkswagen?

This is an opportunity to grow your leadership career with one of BC's established automotive groups while representing a globally recognized brand.

  • Full-time, permanent leadership opportunity

  • Performance-driven compensation

  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, mental wellness support, and more

  • Career growth and development through paid training, leadership development, NADA courses, and internal advancement opportunities

  • Supportive, high-performance dealership culture

  • Flexible schedule

  • Opportunity to develop your skills and prepare for future Sales Manager and senior leadership opportunities

Compensation: $100,000 to $140,000+ annually (Commission-Based)

What Your Day Will Look Like
  • Support Sales Performance - Work alongside the Sales Manager to help drive daily sales activity, keep the team focused on targets, and identify opportunities to improve performance.
  • Assist With Deals & Closing - Support sales professionals with deal structuring, negotiations, objection handling, and closing to help maximize both customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Coach & Support the Sales Team - Provide day-to-day guidance, feedback, and hands-on support to help sales professionals strengthen their skills, stay accountable, and achieve their goals.
  • Support CRM & Lead Management - Help ensure leads are being worked effectively, follow-up is completed, appointments are booked, and sales opportunities continue moving through the pipeline.
  • Champion the Guest Experience - Support the Sales Manager in maintaining a high standard of customer service, stepping in when needed to resolve concerns and help create a positive buying experience.
  • Assist With Daily Sales Operations - Support the day-to-day operation of the sales department, including inventory, reporting, merchandising, performance tracking, and dealership processes.
  • Be a Leader on the Floor - Stay visible, approachable, and engaged with both the team and customers. Step in where needed, help keep the floor moving, and lead by example during busy periods.
What You Bring
  • Proven automotive sales experience with a strong track record of performance

  • Previous Assistant Sales Manager, Floor Manager, Team Lead, or automotive leadership experience is an asset

  • Strong closing, negotiation, and deal-structuring skills
