Pay Rate: $28.00 – $32.00/hour (Shift premium + $1)
Shift: Night (Mon to Thu 4:45pm to 3:15am)
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
Experience Required: 3+ years of machining experience
Looking for an opportunity to advance your career as a CNC Machinist? We are currently hiring a CNC Machinist – Vertical Milling for an established manufacturing employer in Windsor, Ontario. This position is part of a Tool & Gage team and offers an opportunity to work alongside experienced machinists and toolmakers while producing precision components for innovative tools, jigs, fixtures, and gages. This is a hands-on machining position requiring experience with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs), CNC programming, blueprint interpretation, precision measurement, tooling adjustments, and quality inspection. Job Responsibilities You may be responsible for: • Setting up and operating 3-, 4-, and 5-axis Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs).
• Selecting, installing, adjusting, and maintaining appropriate tooling and fixtures.
• Loading and securely positioning raw materials and workpieces according to setup specifications and engineering requirements.
• Creating, modifying, verifying, and optimizing CNC programs using G-code and CAM software.
• Programming and making adjustments using Mastercam or Lemoine.
• Adjusting machine offsets as required to maintain machining accuracy.
• Performing first-piece inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Monitoring machining operations to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish, product quality, and production efficiency.
• Adjusting tooling, feeds, speeds, and machine offsets as required.
• Troubleshooting machining and programming issues.
• Working with supervisors and quality personnel to resolve non-conformances and improve machining processes.
• Completing production, inspection, and machine performance documentation accurately and on time.
• Performing routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication.
• Supporting prototype, low-volume, and production machining projects.
• Following all required safety and quality procedures. Technical Skills & Qualifications • Minimum 3+ years of machining experience.
• Experience operating CNC Vertical Machining Centers.
• Experience with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining.
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and G-code.
• Programming experience with Mastercam or Lemoine.
• Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machine offsets.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to precision machining.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety and quality requirements. Work Environment • Hands-on manufacturing and machining environment.

• Work involves operating CNC Vertical Machining Centers and related equipment.
