Senior AV-IT Field Technician

The Senior AV-IT Field Technician plays a critical role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced audio-visual and smart home systems across residential and commercial settings. Working both independently and within a small team, this role requires strong technical expertise, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to handle a variety of outdoor and indoor environments. The technician is responsible for ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of AV and smart technology solutions while managing regional travel and adhering to tight project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure AV equipment, smart home systems, and IP cameras
• Perform technical troubleshooting and maintenance on installed systems
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients
• Complete administrative tasks, including manual and automated processing
• Work safely using ladders and tools in diverse environmental conditions
• Collaborate with small teams and work independently on assigned projects
• Manage time efficiently to meet tight deadlines during installations and repairs
• Use standard AV tools, network diagnostic tools, proprietary software, and mobile applications
• Support system upgrades and integration as part of ongoing projects

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in AV-IT field service
• Valid G level driver's license and reliable vehicle for regional travel
• Proficient in smart home system installation and IP camera configuration
• Strong foundation in networking fundamentals
• Skilled in Microsoft Office 365
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize

Preferred Qualifications

• College diploma in Electronics, Networking, or related field
