Manual Machinist Shop Foreman

The Manual Machinist Foreman leads and supervises manual machining operations, ensuring the production of high-quality metal components. This role involves overseeing machinists, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing machining processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, drills and future CNC equipment to meet production goals.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings for precise machining tasks.
• Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Work together in a team environment with other machinists to improve skills and productivity.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet production schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manual machining.
• Technical certification in machining or manufacturing.
• Proficient in manual machining, blueprint reading, and metalworking.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
