Licensed Pest & Wildlife Technician

Midtown Pest & Wildlife is a new, locally focused pest control and wildlife management company serving homeowners throughout Midtown Toronto and surrounding neighbourhoods.

We're looking for an experienced, customer-focused Licensed Pest & Wildlife Technician to help build our operation from the ground up.

This is an opportunity to become the lead field technician for a growing local company, with significant responsibility for customer service, inspections, pest control, wildlife removal and home exclusion.

What You'll Do

Pest Control

• Perform residential pest inspections and identify the source of pest problems.
• Treat common structural pests including ants, cockroaches, rodents, spiders, wasps and other household pests.
• Develop appropriate treatment plans using Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles.
• Apply pesticides safely and in accordance with your Ontario licence and all applicable regulations.
• Explain treatment plans, preparation requirements and prevention recommendations to homeowners.
• Document treatments, findings and recommendations with photos and notes in our mobile app.

Wildlife Control

• Inspect homes for wildlife entry points and signs of animal activity.
• Identify and address common nuisance-wildlife problems, including squirrels, raccoons, skunks and other permitted nuisance wildlife.
• Perform humane wildlife removal and exclusion work in accordance with Ontario law and applicable municipal requirements.
• Install appropriate exclusion devices and wildlife-proofing measures.
• Identify situations involving babies, dens, protected species or other circumstances requiring special handling or referral.

Home Exclusion & Prevention

• Inspect roofs, soffits, vents, chimneys, foundations, decks and other potential entry points.
• Seal gaps and openings that allow pests or wildlife to enter homes.
• Install screening, mesh, vent protection, flashing and other exclusion materials.
• Recommend repairs or additional work when a problem is outside the scope of our services.
• Take before-and-after photos to document completed work.

Customer Service

• Provide professional, friendly service in customers' homes.
• Clearly explain what you found, what needs to be done and why.
• Provide customers with transparent pricing before performing additional work.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and vehicle.
• Represent Midtown Pest & Wildlife as a trusted local service company.

Requirements

Required

• Valid Ontario Structural Exterminator Licence.
• Residential pest-control experience.
• Valid Ontario driver's licence.
• Reliable vehicle or ability to reliably travel to customer locations.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and safely.
• Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, basements, roofs and other residential environments.

Preferred

• 2+ years of pest-control experience.
• Wildlife removal experience.
• Raccoon and squirrel exclusion experience.
• Rodent-control experience.
• Experience with one-way doors and exclusion systems.
• Experience with minor exterior repairs and sealing.
• Experience documenting jobs with photos and mobile technology.

Compensation

Competitive hourly or salary compensation based on experience and qualifications.
