Senior Infrastructure Project Manager Location: Coquitlam, British Columbia
Work Environment: Hybrid / Field
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: $125,000–$140,000 base salary + bonus opportunity of up to 24%
Travel: Less than 10%
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Project Manager to lead the successful execution of major Heavy-Civil Infrastructure and Civil Concrete Construction projects across British Columbia. This is a field-oriented leadership position responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, coordinating with owners and general contractors, managing crews and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required specifications. The successful candidate will combine strong project management expertise with hands-on field experience, financial acumen, and the ability to lead teams in a complex infrastructure environment. Key Responsibilities Project Operations & Leadership
  • Oversee daily field operations and overall project execution.
  • Coordinate with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, coordination, and resource allocation.
  • Manage project costs, revenue, cash flow, and overall financial performance.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to project teams.
Contract & Resource Management
  • Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Organize crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to support project schedules.
  • Prepare and manage subcontract agreements.
  • Coordinate traffic control plans and other project requirements.
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges that may impact project delivery.
Financial & Cost Control
  • Conduct regular job-cost review and forecasting meetings.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, productivity, and financial performance.
  • Provide accurate and timely revenue and cost information to accounting.
  • Review invoices, cost reports, and financial documentation before approval.
  • Maintain strong accountability for project profitability and cash flow.
Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure projects are executed in accordance with contract specifications, codes, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Implement and monitor quality control programs.
  • Identify quality issues proactively and coordinate corrective measures.
Procurement & Subcontractor Management
  • Lead and oversee subcontractor procurement activities.
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor equipment, materials, and resource requirements.
  • Resolve commercial and operational issues with project stakeholders.
Safety & Environmental Leadership
  • Champion health, safety, and environmental policies throughout project operations.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across field and project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, standards, and company policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in construction/project management, including significant hands-on field experience.
  • University degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Strong background in Heavy-Civil Infrastructure and construction.
  • Experience with:
    • Road and interchange construction
    • Structural concrete construction
    • Large-scale infrastructure projects
    • Unionized construction environments
  • Gold Seal Certification through CCA or Red/Gold Construction Certification is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong knowledge of project management, scheduling, estimating, and bidding processes.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Bid2Win, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, subcontractors, and field resources.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced field environment.
