*Previous experience working in a transportation brokerage or 3PL environment is a requirement for this position.
Location: Mississauga, ON
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Salary: $60,000–$75,000
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the transportation and shipping of goods while ensuring compliance with all regulations and company standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and customers to keep operations running smoothly.
- Schedule and monitor shipments, keeping clients and team members informed every step of the way.
- Source and work with carriers to ensure freight is covered reliably, competitively, and on time.
- Analyze logistics data to uncover trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and help reduce costs.
- Create and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, freight invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Resolve challenges that arise during the shipping process, including delays, route changes, capacity issues, and damaged goods.
- Work closely with internal teams including sales, fleet operations, and customer service to deliver an excellent customer experience.
- Support the development and implementation of logistics strategies and best practices.
What You Bring
- 2–4 years of transportation/logistics experience, including hands-on experience in a freight brokerage or 3PL environment.
- A solid understanding of the brokerage environment, including carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, shipment tracking, and issue resolution.
- A post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Confidence working with logistics software and systems, including Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills—you're great with people and clear under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment while staying focused and organized.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
