MGA I Michael Green Architecture
Vancouver, BC
Détails de l'emploi :
Can you turn complex design ideas into visual stories people immediately understand and remember? MGA is looking for a Graphic Designer to help give our projects, ideas, and point of view a clear and compelling visual life.
This is an early-career, hands-on role for someone who enjoys moving between creative thinking and detailed production. You'll work closely with our Communications Director and collaborate with Business Development, project teams, and studio leaders to create proposals, presentations, publications, campaigns, digital content, and project stories that feel unmistakably MGA.
One day you may be supporting the visual narrative for a major pursuit. The next, you may be adapting an established template for an award submission, laying out a report, creating a social campaign, or preparing a leadership presentation. You'll contribute to concepts, apply our brand thoughtfully, and help turn complex architectural information into visual communications that people can understand and remember.
Proposals, Presentations & Business Development
- Design and produce proposals, qualifications packages, pitch decks, interview presentations, project sheets, resumes, and other pursuit materials
- Work with Business Development, project teams, and studio leaders to understand requirements and translate approved content into clear, visually engaging materials
- Create diagrams, infographics, maps, timelines, and other visual tools that make technical and strategic information easier to understand
- Manage layout, version control, proofing, preflight, and final production to meet submission requirements and immovable deadlines
Marketing, Editorial & Digital Content
- Support the Communications Director in creating publications, reports, award submissions, event materials, signage, campaigns, and internal communications
- Create and adapt visual assets for MGA's website, social channels, email communications, and other digital platforms
- Prepare presentation and campaign materials that are visually engaging, appropriately formatted for each channel, and designed with accessibility in mind
- Contribute to motion, video, or animated content where your skills and experience allow, and help coordinate specialist support when required
Brand Application & Visual Storytelling
- Support the Communications Director in applying MGA's visual identity consistently across print, digital, presentation, and environmental applications
- Produce and adapt materials using established templates, brand standards, and reusable assets, identifying opportunities for improvement where appropriate
- Work with architectural drawings, renderings, photography, research, and project information to communicate design intent and impact
- Collaborate with project teams and Communications to visually present agreed project stories, key messages, and proof points
Workflow, Collaboration & Production
- Clarify briefs, priorities, timelines, review stages, and deliverables before design work begins
- Manage multiple assignments, communicate capacity and risks early, and maintain reliable follow-through
- Prepare and optimize files for print, web, presentations, and other production environments while preserving image quality and accuracy
- Organize and maintain templates, image libraries, project assets, photography credits, and usage information
- Coordinate with printers, photographers, videographers, web partners, and other creative suppliers as required
- Use approved AI and emerging design tools responsibly to support ideation, accessibility, quality, and workflow efficiency while protecting confidential and copyrighted information
- 2+ years of professional graphic design experience, with a portfolio that shows both concept development and strong production craft
- Post-secondary education in graphic design, communication design, visual communications, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Strong PowerPoint skills and experience creating clear, polished, client-facing presentations
- A strong foundation in typography, editorial layout, information design, brand application, and visual storytelling
- Working knowledge of print production, file preparation, colour management, image optimization, and digital accessibility
- A collaborative, curious approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized and calm when deadlines are tight
- Openness to feedback and the ability to explain design choices and refine work in response to input
- Curiosity and openness to learning and applying responsible AI practices and emerging creative tools as part of a thoughtful design workflow
- Experience in architecture, design, engineering, culture, or another visually driven professional services environment is preferred
- Experience with Figma, web content, motion graphics, video editing, or related digital tools is an asset
