Our client is a well-established Canadian construction company with a strong reputation for delivering complex commercial, institutional, industrial, and design-build projects. They are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager working out of their Mississauga Office, who enjoys taking ownership of large-scale projects from preconstruction through completion and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys working on challenging projects and building strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while contributing to the continued success of a people-focused organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale construction projects from preconstruction through close-out, ensuring project objectives for safety, quality, schedule, and budget are achieved.
  • Provide overall project leadership and work collaboratively with field teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to drive successful project delivery.
  • Manage project financials, including budgets, cost control, forecasting, cash flow, and the change order process.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, procurement plans, risk management strategies, and project execution plans.
  • Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, and opportunities throughout the construction process.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience with a General Contractor managing mid-to-large-scale commercial/ICI construction projects, ideally $30M+ in value.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing large, complex construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, contracts, procurement, scheduling, risk management, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Proven ability to lead project teams and effectively manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, collaborative approach.
  • Experience with commercial, institutional, healthcare, industrial, or other complex ICI projects is preferred.
  • Procore experience is considered an asset.
