Experienced Roofing Labourers / Roofers - Fall Protection Required

Blueridge Staffing Solutions is currently hiring experienced Roofing Labourers / Roofers for ongoing projects throughout the Lower Mainland.

This position is for candidates with hands-on roofing experience. Applicants must have at least 6 months to 1 year of previous roofing experience working on roofs.

Applicants without roofing experience will not be selected. General construction experience alone does not qualify for this position.

Candidates must be experienced and comfortable working on sloped roofs and at heights, including performing physically demanding roofing duties throughout the workday.

Roofing Experience Required

Successful candidates should have hands-on experience with duties such as:

• Installing and replacing roofing shingles
• Removing and disposing of old shingles and roofing materials
• Performing roof tear-offs
• Preparing roofs for installation
• Loading, unloading, and moving roofing materials
• Using basic roofing hand tools and equipment
• Assisting with various roofing installation and repair duties
• Cleaning and maintaining the work area
• Working safely on sloped roofs and at elevated heights
• Following all company and site-specific safety procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of hands-on roofing experience required
• Previous experience working directly on roofs is required
• Valid Fall Protection Certificate required
• Must be comfortable working at heights and on sloped roofs
• Must be physically capable of lifting, carrying, climbing, and performing repetitive work
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Steel-toe boots and required PPE
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites is required
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to work as part of a team

Additional Qualifications

The following are considered an asset:

• CSTS
• WHMIS
• Additional roofing or construction certifications
• Experience with residential or commercial roofing
• Experience installing shingles and other roofing materials

Work Conditions

• Full-time and temporary assignments available
• Day shifts with occasional overtime
• Outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Physically demanding work involving lifting, carrying, climbing, bending, and repetitive tasks
• Work performed on roofs, including sloped and elevated surfaces
• Ongoing opportunities with established roofing contractors

Compensation

• Competitive hourly wage based on roofing experience
