Water Truck Operator

The Water Truck Operator plays an important role in supporting our urban road construction projects by operating a tandem water truck for dust control, soil stabilization, grading support and compaction activities. Working with the crew, this position helps keep projects running safely and efficiently throughout the construction season. This role includes regular participation in general crew and labour duties throughout the day depending on project requirements.Job Responsibilities Safely operate and maintain a tandem water truck, including loading and unloading Apply water for dust control and compaction based on site requirementsConduct pre trip inspections and maintain proper logsActively participate in labour tasks including site preparation, material handling and clean up when truck operation is not requiredFollow all company safety procedures and participate in daily hazard assessmentsWork extended hours, overtime, weekends and out of town as required during the construction season (May - November)Perform other duties as assignedQualificationsValid Class 3 Driver's License (driver's abstract required prior to hire)Experience operating water trucks or hauling liquid loads is considered an assetStrong understanding of safe driving practices and site awarenessAbility to complete required documentation accuratelyPhysically capable of performing manual labour tasksSafety focused and able to work effectively as part of a crewWhat We OfferCompetitive wages based on experienceBenefitsProfit sharingCompany Share Ownership ProgramOngoing training and developmentOpportunities for advancementSteady work during the construction seasonMany of our leaders started in field or entry level roles and we believe strongly in promoting from within.
