The Construction Helper plays a vital role in supporting skilled tradespeople by preparing job sites, handling materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This position involves frequent travel to multiple sites and the use of manual tools and equipment. Construction Helpers work closely with a single skilled tradesperson, providing essential assistance that supports the overall project workflow. There are opportunities to advance into skilled trades through demonstrated skill and experience development.

Responsibilities

Handle and transport materials to support construction activities
Prepare job sites for construction tasks
Remove debris and maintain cleanliness of the work area
Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment
Provide direct assistance to a skilled tradesperson on-site
Perform basic carpentry tasks as needed
Clean sites thoroughly to ensure safety and organization

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of construction experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
Dependable vehicle
Basic carpentry knowledge
Experience in material handling
Physical stamina to endure manual labor and frequent travel
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Awareness of construction site safety and procedures
Willingness to learn
Clean police record
