Job Responsibilities:

Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with powered saws to match measurements).
Remove rough spots from workpiece using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces.
Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures ensuring quality standards are met.
Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.

Qualifications:

CWB certification is preferred, with 3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with steel, aluminum, and/or stainless steel required.
Experience with MIG welding highly preferred.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses.
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges.
