Welder

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with powered saws to match measurements).
• Remove rough spots from workpiece using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
• Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures ensuring quality standards are met.
• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.

Qualifications:

• CWB certification is preferred, with 3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with steel, aluminum, and/or stainless steel required.
• Experience with MIG welding highly preferred.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges.
